Awards – Laurels – competitions

In St. Jude’s Private Schools, we believe that every child is unique with his or her talents, thus, we celebrate each child’s unique strengths and reward excellence in academic and extra-curricular activities without bias.

The goal of each award is to reward pupil’s excellence at the end of a project or a session and encourage healthy competition and collaboration amongst pupils. The criterion for each award is demanding yet attainable.

Presenting awards in various academic fields has developed a healthy competitive spirit in our pupils that has compelled many pupils to put up a diligent attitude towards their studies.

Singapore Maths Competition

The Singapore Maths Competition is designed to challenge pupils’ problem-solving skills using the globally recognized Singapore Maths method. This competition focuses on deep conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and application of mathematical concepts. Open to pupils in various age categories, it encourages logical reasoning and creative problem-solving.

Eligibility: Grades 2-6
Key Skills: Problem-solving, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking
Awards: Certificates, medals, and scholarships for top performers

Singapore Math Challenge (SMC) and Singapore Math Global Finals (SMGF): Students who have won Gold/ Silver/ Bronze Awards in the Singapore Math Competition (SMC) American Mathematics Olympiad (AMO) or Singapore & Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) will be invited to compete in the Singapore Math Global Finals.

SMC Participants will receive an Award e-certificate. All winners are invited to compete at SINGAPORE MATH GLOBAL FINALS, held worldwide in all participating countries.

Turkish Maths Olympiad

The Turkish Maths Olympiad is an international competition that tests students’ mastery of mathematical concepts through challenging questions that require advanced problem-solving skills. The competition promotes mathematical excellence, encouraging students to think creatively and apply their knowledge innovatively.

Eligibility: Grades 4-6
Key Skills: Advanced problem-solving, abstract reasoning, and creativity in mathematics
Awards: International recognition, certificates, and medals for top achievers
