Our History

The Secondary School

St. Jude’s Private Secondary school is a co-educational institution situated at 5th avenue, Festac town, Lagos. It is under the Amuwo-Odofin Local Education District of Lagos State. The school began in September 1994 and had its first valedictory ceremony in 1998.

St. Jude’s Private Secondary School seeks to identify and develop the potential and talent in each student. It is our firm belief that a good education and good character are essential skills for the job of life.

Academic and non-academic staff work in partnership with students, parents, and each other to provide quality education, which empowers the students to use their natural abilities to achieve their full potential.

Whatever their strengths, students are given every opportunity to develop their skills and interests, preparing them to lead productive and fulfilling lives in the future.

As a Christian Community, St. Jude’s Private Secondary School desires that its students “Grow in the light of God”. As such, our students benefit from our ethos which teaches them to be morally upright and others-centered, even as they strive to be the best they can be in all that they do.

While academic achievement is important, it is not the only important thing. Balance is the essence of our educational philosophy, and academic and social development are of equal importance to us. We provide a rich, well-rounded curriculum, and an extensive range of sporting and social activities.

Enriched from their experiences at St. Jude’s, our students graduate as responsible and socially aware young men and women, enabled to face an increasingly demanding world with confidence.
